Endoscopy Center of Dayton, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Business Office Float to join our esteemed team. As a Business Office Float, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement.
Business Office Float at Endoscopy Center of Dayton
The Business Office Float assists the Business Office Manager with the daily operations of the business office.
This role will support various business office functions, including insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, and billing, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, is adaptable to changing priorities, and enjoys working collaboratively with both patients and staff.
Qualifications:
·High school graduate or equivalent.
·One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
·Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
·Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
·Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
·Good communication skills.
·Bilingual preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Knows, adheres to, and enforces all policies of the business office
- Responsible for taking deposits to the bank as needed; backup to the BOM.
- Informs business office manager of applicable day-to-day situations
- Follows all equipment safety guidelines and is personally responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment
- Assist business manager with overall strategic planning of the business office
- Assist the Business Office Manager to develop and maintain policies & procedures and systems to minimize DSO and the rate of bad debt and increase the productivity of related operations
- Perform other activities as requested by the business manager, and assume other appropriate operational responsibilities as necessary.
