Patient Care Tech/ Turnover Housekeeper

 Advanced Center of North County is hiring a Patient Care Tech/ Turnover Housekeeper Full Time.

Job Summary: The PCT/ Turnover Housekeeper plays a vital role in the surgical team by ensuring operating rooms are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for the next surgery. This position requires a dedicated individual who can perform rapid, efficient, and detailed cleaning duties in a high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infection control practices and be committed to providing a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff. Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.

·         Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for peri-operative nursing care according to accepted standards

·         Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge in aseptic technique.

·         Demonstrates ability to understand the unique needs of each age group of the patient population.

·         Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.

·         Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.

·         Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.

·         Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.

·         Informs Manager of applicable day-to-day situations.

·         Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in surgical services or environmental services.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and the use of disinfectants.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent physical condition, capable of standing for long periods, bending, and lifting heavy loads.

Hourly Wage Range: $24 to $28 per hour
