PRN Certified Surgical First Assists are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. PRN Certified Surgical First Assists are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- CSFA Certification as required by state and/or center
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
