Responsible for receiving, storing and issuing materials, equipment and supplies. Compiles automated inventory stock records to verify receipts, requisitions or invoices. Examines stock with automated system reports to verify conformance with specifications. Audits inventory supply receipt and related automated records.

Hours: 4 x 10 hour shifts

Salary Range: $24.00 - 28.00 (Depending on Experience)

Minimum Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• Two years’ experience with supply/shipping and receiving using an automated system.
• Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
• Experience in auditing of supplies, performing inventories.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment with special emphasis on receiving of supplies.
• Previous data entry experience.

Essential Functions: 

• Develops, formulates and conducts quality control programs using advanced inspection methods, test, devises, and control techniques.
• Receives audits, inspects, verifies and accepts or rejects supplies and equipment delivered to each supply location.
• Ensures inventory is updated, as required when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment.
• Checks invoices, purchase orders packing slips, etc. with incoming merchandise and match to automated reports.
• Processes corresponding automated documentation including pick-tickets.
• Conducts general audits of inventories and system entries.
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director.
• Prepares correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, short and backlog orders, etc. and return to vendor as required.
• Follows up to ensure resolution.
• Maintains Materials Management supply replenishment system, retrieves, updates and deletes files and records as required.
• Assists in preparing items for return to stock credit, vendors, etc.
• Organizes storage and catalog location of supplies and equipment for efficient handling and to prevent deterioration.
• Requisitions and stores sterile supplies.
• Ensures defective equipment is identified for maintenance repair as required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assists with departmental physical inventories.
• Assures that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday. 
• Other duties as assigned.
