Job Description: 

  • Assist the pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Assists in maintaining adequate inventory levels of drugs and supplies by placing orders to the wholesaler on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintains medication, product, and supply stock for the pharmacy
  • Maintains Pyxis unit stock on a daily basis.
  • Assists in performing monthly unit inspections.
  • Assures that the pharmacy is kept clean, orderly, and stocked with adequate office supplies.
  • Completes monthly education as assigned.
  • Receives and checks for accuracy of the supply orders, and completes necessary documentation.
  • Returns overstocked or unnecessary stock to 3rd party vendor.
  • Understands and complies with rules and regulations concerning controlled substances and the distribution to the Pyxis
    units with the required documentation.
  • Understands specialty equipment, keeps knowledge up-to-date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology,
    policy & procedures, and standard of practice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational Pharmacy Technician training preferred.
One year of hospital/retail pharmacy practice required

Required Licenses/Certification: 

Certified Pharmacy Technician required

Salary: $30.00 (Depending on the number of shifts worked per week)
