HIM Unbilled Analyst
Frisco, Texas Baylor Medical Center at Frisco (10812)The Health Information Unbilled Analyst is responsible for follow up on pended accounts that cannot be final coded or final billed, coding of facility contract accounts and others as assigned, analyzing patient charts and record completion, completing HIM quality audits assisting with prep, scan and index functions of patient records, releasing patient health information and providing department customer service.
Required Skills:
·A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
·College course work highly preferred.
·At least one of the following certifications: an AHIMA and/or an AAPC professional certification of RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC required, or to be obtained within one year (12 months) of hire.
·A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Health Information Management department or comparable health care related field required.Completion of related college or coding certification coursework may be substituted for work experience.
·Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles
·Understands and practices the principles of coding compliance and ethical coding practices
·Basic PC Skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
·Fluent in English with verbal and written communication skills
