Pre/Post RN PRNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Pre/Post RN PRNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. - Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU or Critical Care. Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Excellent teaching skills
