GI Scope Techs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. GI Scope Techs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Full Time GI Scope Tech

Gastro One - 1310 is seeking a dedicated GI Scope Tech to join our team.  Our fast paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

Job Summary

The GI Scope Technologist cares for and maintains all GI Scopes. You will work with medical professionals who specialize and are dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and more. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment per the center’s policy.

  • Maintain and clean endoscopic equipment according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
  • Very fast paced environment. 
  • Some Saturdays, required.

Required Skills:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Computer skills, required
  • Candidates must demonstrate stability and longevity in previous roles; applications from job hoppers will not be considered.
  • Scope tech or cleaning and sterilizing in a medical setting preferred
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
