Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support front desk staff (receptionists, schedulers, check‐in/check‐out personnel).
Ensure smooth patient flow: check‐ins, check‐outs, patient arrivals, and navigating between waiting areas and exam/procedure rooms.
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage phone calls, emails, and other communications; respond to inquiries and direct them appropriately.
Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments; manage rescheduling or cancellations.
Verify insurance and eligibility; ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Process payments, co‐pays, collect patient balances; maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma
Prior experience in a front desk or receptionist role in a medical office or ambulatory surgical center.
Some supervisory or lead experience preferred (training, coaching, oversight of other staff).
Strong customer service skills; professional, courteous demeanor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with multi‐line phone systems, scheduling software, EMR systems.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing/payment collection processes.
Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Email).
