Glendale, California Glendale Surgical Center (11253)Glendale Surgical Center, located in Glendale, CA is seeking a motivated Front Desk / Medical Assistant - PRN to join our team.
Glendale Surgical Centeris a multi-specialty and fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. This center specializes in Orthopedics and Pain Management. We have 1 Operating Room and 2 procedure rooms.
What You Will Do (Job Summary):
Key Duties Include:
- Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner
- Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
- Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter
- Assist with Admissions. Check in PreOp patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with PreOp nursing staff. Check patients out when discharged.
- Schedule office visits and procedures for new and existing patients
- Collect patient responsibility as determined by tie Insurance Verifier.
- Prepare patients for examination, take vitals and record patient health history
- Assist with chart preparation, filing, scanning
- Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Monday - Friday daytime hours
The starting pay range is $24.00- $28.00/hour, depending on experience.
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
·High School diploma or GED
·Completion of Medical Assistant or Nurse Assistant training program
·Patient care experience
·Medical office experience
·Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus
