Job Scope
As a Pre-Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients are fully prepared for their upcoming procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting pre-operative assessments and screenings
Reviewing patient medical history and ensuring all necessary clearances are obtained
Educating patients and families on pre- and post-operative care
Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
Experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU, or a surgical setting preferred
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
