Position Summary

The Nurse Manager (RN) plays a critical leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations and supporting the nursing team. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborates with physicians and administrative leadership to optimize workflows and create a positive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Experience in gastroenterology, endoscopy, or ambulatory surgery preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage staff performance, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements

Required Skills:

Education

  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Two (2) years experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications/ Registrations
  • Current Tennessee RN License
  • BLS & ACLS Certification required

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Independent decision making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.

    ORGANIZATIONAL
    RELATIONSHIPS: Supervises: All staff in Pre-op, PACU, PAT
    Contacts/Interacts with: Physicians, all facility staff, Board of
    Managers, patients and families.

    POSITION COMPETENCIES/
    RESPONSIBILITIES: Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital-wide and department-specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served. The employee''s competencies are evaluated on an on-going basis, and formally documented at least annually as part of the Performance Appraisal process.
