PRN Patient Care Tech (PCT)s are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. PRN Patient Care Tech (PCT)s are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. PRN Patient Care Tech (PCT)

Job Duties:
·Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport.
·Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment.
·Assists during patient examinations and procedures.
·Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations.
·Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- BLS Required
- Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, PCT, MA or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Previous experience Electronic Healthcare Record helpful
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent clinical skills appropriate for a medical assistant, nursing assistant or patient care tech
