Overview
RN PACU PTs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. RN PACU PTs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
Red Cedar Surgery Center has an immediate need for a part time PACU RN to join the team! Red Cedar Surgery Center is a leading, accredited, out-patient surgical facility. Red Cedar Surgery Center is committed to providing our patients with an exceptional outpatient surgery experience in a comfortable environment. Red Cedar Surgery Center meets the highest industry standards for top-quality healthcare, is certified by Medicare, licensed in the State of Michigan and is accredited by the Joint Commission. In addition, Red Cedar Surgery Center actively participates in the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) program.
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Required Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have an active Michigan RN license.
- Must have current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Experience in PreOp/PACU.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
