Our facility specializes in a variety of surgical procedures and is committed to excellence, innovation, and compassionate service.
We are seeking a Endoscopy Technician with experience in both scrub tech duties and sterile processing to join our PRN team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of surgical support and instrument sterilization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and stored
- Assist surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
- Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Monitor sterilizer cycles and document quality assurance checks
- Support room turnover and restocking of surgical supplies
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and SPD staff to ensure seamless operations
- Follow all facility policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technology certificate/associate program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Certification such as CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) preferred, but not always required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of endoscopy equipment and accessories
- Proficient in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopes and instruments
- Ability to set up and troubleshoot equipment before and during procedures
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Effective communication with physicians, nurses, and patients
- Strong organizational skills for supply and inventory management
- Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced clinical environments
- Attention to detail and adherence to procedural checklists
- Teamwork and collaboration with the surgical team
Required Experience:
- 1–3 years of direct endoscopy or surgical tech experience
- Skilled in anticipating physician needs during procedures
- Experience maintaining equipment functionality and handling minor troubleshooting
