We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Per-Diem Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and necessary documentation during the registration process
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments while coordinating with clinical and business office teams
- Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding hospital services
- Collect co-pays and patient balances at the time of service, following financial policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA and hospital standards
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain clean, organized, and welcoming for patients and visitors
- Support the business office team with administrative tasks as needed

Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional appearance and demeanor with the ability to create a positive first impression
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role required; healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient registration processes a plus
- Experience handling patient insurance, billing inquiries, or payment collections preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or medical office training preferred
