Under the supervision of the Facilities manager, the Housekeeping attendant is responsible for environmental cleaning and disinfecting, unloading linen carts and keeping linen room organized. This individual performs a variety of routine cleaning functions, isolation room terminal cleaning and stocking the linen carts in assigned area to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.

Required Skills:
Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred.
Be able to read, write and follow instructions.
Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience. Hospital experience preferred.
Have the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.
Preferred knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting agents with dwell (kill) times.
Be able to perform daily cleaning of assigned patient rooms, isolation rooms, offices, restrooms and other areas.
Lift up to 35 pounds.
Be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.
Must be able to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor such as stocking linen carts and taking out trash carts.
Be able to keep carts and work areas organized.
