We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Manager Assistant to support our administrative and clinical teams. This role will assist in maintaining the hospital’s supply chain operations by helping manage the ordering, receiving, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to balance multiple responsibilities while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medical and surgical supplies.
- Support the Materials Manager in maintaining accurate inventory levels and performing cycle counts.
- Help prepare and track purchase orders, delivery logs, and inventory adjustments.
- Collaborate with vendors regarding deliveries, invoices, and product availability.
- Work with clinical staff to anticipate supply needs and ensure availability.
- Maintain organized storage areas to promote efficiency and safety.
- Assist in monitoring supply usage and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards related to inventory management.

Required Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail with accurate record-keeping.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills with both internal staff and external vendors.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare supply chain, inventory, or materials management preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical supplies is a plus.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems desirable.
- 1–2 years of administrative, logistics, or warehouse support experience encouraged.
