Houston, Texas TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital (11000)TOPS Specialty Surgical Hospital in Houston, TX is looking for a Medical Records Clerk to join our wonderful team.
The individual hired will be responsible for creating new medical records and retrieving existing ones by gathering appropriate record folders and contents, assigning and recording new record numbers, verifying existing record numbers, inputting and recording locations into the computer system, and delivering records as needed. This position will also assist with ordering, organizing, and stocking supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new medical records and retrieve existing ones by:
- Gathering appropriate record folders and contents
- Assigning and recording new record numbers
- Verifying existing record numbers
- Inputting and recording locations into the computer system
- Delivering records as needed
- Assist with ordering, organizing, and stocking supplies to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient record-keeping system
