Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated OR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. This role is critical in supporting a smooth and safe operative experience for both patients and surgical staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and a passion for working in a collaborative perioperative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and circulate during operative procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for surgery in accordance with established protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs to ensure efficient surgical flow
  • Ensure surgical asepsis and patient safety are upheld throughout the perioperative process
  • Support surgeries in a variety of specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology

Required Skills:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
  • BLS (CPR) certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire (if not already certified)
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
  • Effective communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and anesthesia considerations
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
  • Proficient in navigating surgical instruments, OR protocols, and patient positioning

Required Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of OR experience in an intra-operative setting required
  • Experience in circulating and prepping across a range of specialties is highly preferred
  • Prior experience in critical care or PACU settings is a plus
  • Telemetry or perioperative experience beneficial
