Overview
OR RN FTs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. OR RN FTs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Per Diem to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in the operating room, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Assist in preparing the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies.
Monitor patients throughout the surgical process and ensure their safety and comfort.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures.
Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
Document patient care accurately and promptly.
Participate in room turnover and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments.

Required Experience:
Active RN license in the state of Texas required.
Minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Experience in an outpatient or hospital surgical setting preferred.
