We’re looking for a dependable and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in the Pre-Op and PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) areas. This role supports our nursing staff in preparing patients for procedures and assisting in their recovery—ensuring comfort, safety, and a smooth care experience in our ambulatory surgery center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including gowning, toileting, and mobility before and after procedures
- Monitor and report patient vital signs and observations to nursing staff
- Safely assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transport within the center
- Keep patient care areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Support pre-op and PACU nurses with room turnover and restocking supplies
- Adhere to all safety, infection prevention, and privacy protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification in the state of Texas
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in a pre-op, PACU, or surgical setting preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Required Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year of CNA experience preferred
- Experience in an acute care or surgical hospital setting is a plus
- Familiarity with patient mobility assistance, hygiene care, and vital signs monitoring
