Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will ensure patients receive safe and supportive care as they recover from anesthesia, while collaborating closely with physicians, colleagues, and patients’ families. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented, adaptable nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from general anesthesia or sedation.
  • Implement physician orders and continuously assess patient conditions.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to ensure safe preparation for discharge.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU) or Pre-Op settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of perioperative processes, including surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
  • Current patient assessment and nursing care skills.
  • Telemetry experience is a must.

Required Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience required.
  • ICU experience preferred.
