Located in the heart of Houston, Texas, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center – Kirby Glen is a trusted outpatient surgical facility known for delivering exceptional patient care across multiple specialties. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive part-time Quality Nurse to join our team. This role is key to supporting our quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance, and promoting clinical excellence throughout the facility.

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs
  • Maintain compliance with AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, and other regulatory standards
  • Collect and analyze data related to infection control, incident reporting, and patient satisfaction
  • Educate staff on best practices, policy updates, and process improvements
  • Serve as a liaison during inspections and surveys
  • Lead root cause analyses and support corrective action plans
  • Partner with clinical leaders to ensure continuous quality improvement initiatives are aligned with patient care goals

Required Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, and infection control standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to guide and influence staff
  • Organized, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives
  • Comfortable with data collection, analysis, and reporting

Required Experience:
  • Current Texas RN license required
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or acute care setting
  • Prior experience in quality improvement, compliance, or infection control strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AAAHC and CMS standards is a plus
