Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street is seeking a skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist with specialized expertise in operating C-arm equipment to join our dynamic surgical team. The Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures during surgical and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring accurate imaging results while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Operate C-arm equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images during surgical procedures and interventional radiology exams.
- Position patients and adjust C-arm settings to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for specific procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate C-arm equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy of imaging results.
- Assist in procedure room preparation, including imaging equipment positioning and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance imaging services.
- Stay up to date on advancements in C-arm technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education.

Required Skills:

- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and imaging software (Preferred).
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with specific experience in operating C-arm equipment.
- Experience in surgical or interventional radiology settings (Preferred).
- Certification or specialized training in C-arm operation and fluoroscopy (Preferred).
- Membership in professional organizations such as ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) or RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) (Preferred).
- ARRT certification or equivalent credential.
