Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Tech PRN to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate C-arm equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images during surgical procedures and interventional radiology exams.
  • Position patients and adjust C-arm settings to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for specific procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate C-arm equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy of imaging results.
  • Assist in procedure room preparation, including imaging equipment positioning and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance imaging services.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in C-arm technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in patient positioning and adjusting imaging parameters for optimal image quality.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in radiology and C-arm technology.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and imaging software (Preferred).
  • Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with specific experience in operating C-arm equipment.
  • Experience in surgical or interventional radiology settings (Preferred).
  • Certification or specialized training in C-arm operation and fluoroscopy (Preferred).
  • Membership in professional organizations such as ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) or RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) (Preferred).
  • ARRT certification or equivalent credential.
