Texas International Endoscopy Center is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, featuring one operating room and three treatment rooms, and dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with excellence, innovation, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic or surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments, IV insertion, and review of medical history and consent.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and sedation levels, ensuring safety and comfort throughout their stay.
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Skills:
  • Current Texas RN license (required).
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required).
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient safety.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based care model.
  • EMR proficiency and accurate clinical documentation habits.
  • Knowledge of GI procedures, scopes, and post-anesthesia recovery protocols is a plus.

Required Experience:
  • 1–2 years of nursing experience, ideally in a GI, endoscopy, or surgical setting.
  • Prior experience with moderate sedation, recovery room protocols, and/or circulating in a procedure room is preferred.
  • Familiarity with infection prevention, patient safety practices, and ASC workflows.
