Responsibilities
Memorial Hermann Memorial Village Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team.
Located in Houston, TX, our center is a joint venture between physicians, United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and Memorial Hermann Health System. We provide outpatient surgical care across multiple specialties, offering a safe, efficient, and patient-centered alternative to hospital-based procedures. About the Role
The Operating Room Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective care of surgical patients. This position involves prepping the OR, assisting the surgical team throughout procedures, and ensuring each patient receives excellent clinical care from pre-op to post-op transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare the OR and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are available and sterile
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and scrub techs to provide seamless care
- Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as needed during procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the surgical process
- Support OR turnover and prepare for subsequent cases
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards

Required Skills:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in aseptic technique and surgical procedures
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced OR environment
Required Experience:
- Current RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of OR experience preferred
- Experience in an ASC or outpatient surgical setting a plus
