Operating Room RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room RN to join our surgical team. The OR RN plays a critical role in supporting safe, effective surgical care, assisting with preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative responsibilities. Experience in multiple specialties is highly valued.

Responsibilities Include

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in vital signs or clinical status
• Administer medications per physician orders, including anesthesia support and post-op pain management
• Assist in preparing the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functioning
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide seamless, coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation throughout the perioperative process
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe surgical environment
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families before and after surgery
• Participate in emergency response situations with sound clinical judgment

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical safety protocols

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits

• Minimum of 1 year of operating room nursing experience preferred
• Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience is a plus
• Background in multiple specialties such as general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GI, and urology is strongly preferred
• Experience working across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases of care
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas RN license (or compact license) in good standing
• Current BLS certification 
• ACLS certification
