This position will require travel to our affiliated Breast Centers, ensuring comprehensive imaging support for our patients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in breast ultrasound imaging and a strong commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic scans. This role involves traveling between our main facility and affiliated Breast Centers to provide imaging services as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures, specializing in breast ultrasound.
Ensure accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes and communicate findings to physicians.
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
Follow all safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
Provide patient education and support to ensure comfort during procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
Travel to Breast Centers as scheduled to provide imaging services.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in breast ultrasound imaging techniques.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in medical imaging.
Required Experience:
Active RDMS certification with a specialty in Breast Ultrasound required (BREAST RDMS).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on breast ultrasound preferred.
Active state licensure as required.
American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital imaging setting is a plus.
