Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Tuscan Surgery Center at Las Colinas, where we strive to provide a top class surgical experience through exemplary patient care with some of the best physicians and nurses in the DFW Metroplex. Tuscan Surgery Center is a proud joint venture between Baylor and USPI, fostering a collaborative setting that encourages growth and innovation while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. With1 Operating Room and 2 Procedural Rooms, our state-of-the-art equipment enables surgeons to excel in specialties including Colon & Rectal Surgery and Gastroenterology. Professional Specialization: As a dedicated GI center we offer streamlined care that is not only efficient, but patient centered to provide the safest operative experience possible.
Endoscopy RN at Tuscan Surgery Center at Las Colinas
Prepares patients, equipment and room for Endoscopy procedures. Assists physicians with Endoscopy procedures per the SGNA guidelines. Specialized knowledge, experience and training is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician. Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility. Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Endoscopy nursing care according to accepted standards. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of Endoscopy procedures and techniques. Provides multi-dimensional care for assigned patients. Includes patient care in the pre-operative holding area, care in the Endoscopy suite, and care for the patient in the PACU.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in Endoscopy (GI)
- Experience is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- TX RN license
- General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and procedures for an endoscopy procedure room.
