Patient Aide at Advanced Regional Surgery Center
Assist technologist by transporting patients to dressing rooms and scanning rooms.Provide information by communicating with patients and various departments.
Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assists the Technologist in the examination room, as necessary.
- Assists the Technologists with patients by taking patients to the dressing rooms and scanning rooms; reviewing and completing paperwork with patients; setting up the scanning rooms; load power injectors; check labs or alert Nurse when I-Stat is needed; performing appointment reminders and doing patient follow-up for additional exams.
- Assists in collecting and sorting films; performing quality assurance on films.
- Assists the Medical Receptionists, as needed.
- Demonstrates familiarity in use of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Alerts Technologists to any medical devices the patient may have.Alerts Technologists and Nurse to any allergies regarding contrast
- Assumes responsibility for checking scanning rooms for supplies; stocks scanning rooms; keeps patient dressing rooms clean and orderly; works with the individual responsible for purchasing in the ordering of supplies.
- Responsible for maintaining supply room and bringing supplies from the storage room.
- Predictable attendance and promptness in returning from breaks and meal periods is expected and required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assumes responsibility for continually striving to meet goals as established by Modesto Radiology Imaging.We share a commitment to the patient, to the Radiologists, to the Company, and to each other to strive toward the overall company goals that have been established.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Ability to adjust to changing situations and assignments and to exhibit adaptability.
- Ability to evaluate work circumstances and make appropriate decisions.
- Willingness to assume appropriate responsibility and to exhibit initiative; self-motivation.
- Ability to lift patients with additional help.
- Ability to work with and support other departments in the Company.
- Ability to maintain professional attitude and conduct; ability to remain tactful and courteous (regardless of circumstances).
- Ability to remain open to changing job responsibilities and to cover in other departments, as needed.
