Collector/Billing Specialist – Responsibilities:

  • Work facility accounts receivable and manage patient billing.

  • Make calls to patients to collect past-due payments or arrange payment plans.

  • Contact insurance companies to follow up on payment status and file appeals as needed.

  • Post payments accurately and reconcile accounts.

  • Maintain detailed and organized records of collections activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare collections or billing.

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance billing practices, ASC claim filing, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and payor contracts.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and data entry.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus
