The Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center is looking for a Receptionist/Medical Recod top performer with solid surgery center experience. We perform a broad range of outpatient surgical procedures  . The Outpatient Surgery & Laser center is an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International and our mission is it to care for each patient and every family as if they were our own. Job Summary:

Receptionist/Medical Records needed for TLC Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center, a busy multispecialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Lady Lake. The Receptionist interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff; Admit patients and process their paperwork; Update patient demographics/information in system; Collect monies due and document in the billing system; Handle funds per office procedure. Answer incoming phone calls. Monitor Medical Records for required completed documentation.

This is a Full Time Position with NO weekends, Nights or Holidays.


Required Skills:

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
  • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
  • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
