PreOp/PACU RN PRNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. PreOp/PACU RN PRNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
USPI Flatirons Surgery Center is seeking a PRN PreOp/PACU RN to join our team. Flatirons Surgery Center is a multi-specialty Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
No call, weekends or holidays
The PreOp/PACU RN provides safe patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care and team collaboration, and organizational policies. They provide safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patients. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Experience with Ortho, Podiatry, ENT, Colorectal, GYN, and/or pain is a plus.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS or within six months of hire
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Support and enhance team-focused culture and customer service skills
- Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
Prefer:
- Minimum of 1 year Pre-Op/Post-Op experience
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
