Endoscopy ASC of Middle Georgia is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Macon, Georgia.

  • Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.
  • We are seeking a motivated Procedures Room Nurse to join our team.
  • Endoscopy ASC of Middle Georgia Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the charge nurse and clinical director, the Procedure Room Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing a GI procedure..

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients having GI procedures in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Provides care following the policies and procedures of the Center and demonstrates knowledge of SGNA standards of practice
  • Makes decisions regarding patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other members of the health care team
  • Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patient
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, use critical thinking skills, and be flexible as job priorities change.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with physicians, patients, staff, and all members of the healthcare team
  • Cognizant of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs  of the patient
  • Accurately documents nursing care
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude
  • Uses problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to foster effective, good work relationships with team members
  • Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break, and rest periods
  • Maintains required competencies
  • Attends required center meetings.


Required Skills:

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • BCLS/ACLS
  • Experience in GI procedures preferred
