Responsibilities
Endoscopy ASC of Middle Georgia is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Macon, Georgia.
- Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.
- We are seeking a motivated Procedures Room Nurse to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the charge nurse and clinical director, the Procedure Room Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing a GI procedure..
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients having GI procedures in an ambulatory surgery center
- Provides care following the policies and procedures of the Center and demonstrates knowledge of SGNA standards of practice
- Makes decisions regarding patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other members of the health care team
- Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patient
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, use critical thinking skills, and be flexible as job priorities change.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with physicians, patients, staff, and all members of the healthcare team
- Cognizant of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient
- Accurately documents nursing care
- Demonstrates a positive attitude
- Uses problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to foster effective, good work relationships with team members
- Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break, and rest periods
- Maintains required competencies
- Attends required center meetings.
Required Skills:
Qualifications
- Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
- BCLS/ACLS
- Experience in GI procedures preferred
