Full Time PACU RN Manager


Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center, is seeking an experienced and dynamic PreOp/PACU Manager to join our dedicated team. This leadership role oversees the PACU department to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the PACU staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to high clinical standards.
  • Monitor patient care processes, assess outcomes, and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff in the PACU, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing education/training.
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other team members to maintain efficient workflows and ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including policies related to infection control and patient safety.
  • Manage department resources effectively, including supplies, staffing levels, and budget adherence.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in PACU or perioperative care; prior management experience strongly preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on team collaboration and patient satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for ambulatory surgery centers.
