Medical Business Office Manager

Are you a detail-oriented and an experienced medical office manager seeking a rewarding career in healthcare administration? St. Francis Surgery Center, a thriving Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Memphis, TN, is looking for a Business Office Manager to join our team.

Position Overview: As the Business Office Manager at St. Francis Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our healthcare facility. You will oversee and manage the business office operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the billing and coding functions, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.
  • Manage accounts receivable, payments, and collections processes.
  • Collaborate with our administrative and clinical teams to optimize revenue cycle management.
  • Coordinate insurance verification and authorization processes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and revenue forecasting.
  • Managing revenue cycle process
  • Establish and maintain protocols for the charge entry
  • Complete all month end close processes.
  • Assures compliance to industry regulatory standards as well as North Central/USPI Business Office standards, policies and procedures.
  • Communicates regularly and effectively
  • Dynamic leadership skills to help direct, coach and motivate staff.
  • Conduct personnel evaluations for employees supervised.
  • Interview and hire personnel as needed due to staff changes.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or revenue cycle management.
  •  Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with healthcare software and billing systems.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  •  Experience working with all types of third party payers. (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
  •  Demonstrates accountability, integrity, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
