FT Registered Nurse

FT Registered Nurses are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. FT Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse with a strong interest in perioperative care who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment. The RN will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care throughout the patient’s surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing GI procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond appropriately to changes
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Educate patients and families on procedure preparation, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU, GI lab, or surgical setting preferred (training available for motivated RNs)
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient interaction skills
- Longevity in past roles
