GI Technician
Overview
GI Technicians are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. GI Technicians are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
Arizona Advanced Endoscopy is hiring for a per-diem GI Technician to join our dedicated team.
About the Opportunity
The GI Technician is responsible for the proper cleaning and high level disinfection and maintenance of all video endoscopes and other accessories used in the GI Endoscopy suites. The individual hired is responsible for delegated patient care duties by assisting the physician and staff nurse during procedures as well as other duties/assignments expected within this role such as daily preventative maintenance, monitor record keeping for equipment that has been sterilized and/or high-level disinfected.

Required Skills:
- Current Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain it prior to starting work
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- One (1) or more years of experience as a GI/Endo Tech strongly preferred
- Experience processing equipment used in surgical procedures
- Experience setting up procedure rooms and trays
