RN PreOp/PACUs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. RN PreOp/PACUs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a full time Registered Nurse for our PreOP/PACU team!
The Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU responsibilities include:
- Directs and/or provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care.
- Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the PAT/PACU/Pre-operative and Pain Management staff.
- May be authorized, in the absence of the PreOp/PACU/PAT Director, to make decisions affecting the PAT/PACU Pre-operative and Pain Management area.
Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Arizona
- Current BLS certification
- Must be able to achieve ACLS & PALS certification within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
- Previous PACU, critical care, or emergency room nursing experience is preferred.

- 4/ 10-hour shifts, with Tuesday and Thursday availability
