TEXAS SURGICAL CENTER, is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team.
TEXAS SURGICAL CENTER is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
The Materials Management Technician is responsible for the procurement for all supplies in the hospital with the exception of food and drugs, for a busy, multispecialty acute surgery center. The Materials Management will be lead in project activities such as receiving of supplies, stocking supplies, inventory, and quality control. The individual should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs. The individual must possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication and teamwork as well as the ability to keep up in a fast paced working environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person. This person must be active as 90% of this position is physical activity.
Required Skills:
Position Requirements:
- One to two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment preferred and some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Strong Customer Service Background.
- Strong math and counting skills required.
- Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ENVI, Word and Excel preferred).
- Able to deal tactfully with public and other staff members.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with repetitive task.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above your head and shoulders.
- Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment.
- Strong technology skills and interest.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Work collaboratively, efficiently, and respectfully with all to promote teamwork and a positive, productive work environment
- Ability to recognize and prioritize situations and projects as necessary
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Participate as an active and collaborative member of the procurement system Data Management Team.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with a corporate office and facility staff.
- Provide on-going support to facilities for processes and data management.
- Maintain and share a positive attitude in supporting facilities to prepare for and implement change.
