Miramar, Florida Surgicare Miramar Center (10617)SurgiCare of Miramar is looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for our Pre-Op / PACU department. The medical assistant is responsible for coordination of patient care. Will work directly under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Charge Nurse. Required Skills
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from children to geriatrics
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
