Providence Holy Cross Surgery Center at Mission Hillsis a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator provides pre and post procedure support to the center and to patients. Some key duties include -
- Review and verify patient charts to ensure all required documentation, consents, and pre-operative tests are complete.
- Identify and resolve missing information or discrepancies in coordination with the care team and physician offices.
- Conduct Pre-op phone calls to review patient health history, medication use, allergies, and surgical instructions
- Provide education regarding pre-surgical preparation, fasting requirements, arrival times and post-surgery expectations.
- Coordinate with physicians to obtain medical clearance when indicated
- Ensure pre-operative orders (labs, EKGs, imaging, Etc.) are completed and documented.
- Perform post-op follow-up calls to assess patient, wound care, mobility, and overall recovery progress
- Provide patient education and guidance regarding medications, follow-up appointments, and warning signs requiring medical attention
- Document post-op assessments and communicate any complications or concerns to the surgical or clinical team and infection control nurse
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless surgical workflow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold compliance with HIPAA and facility standards
Monday-Friday work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Free Parking
Hourly Wage Range: $45.00 - $70.00, depending on experience

Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CA Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
- Strong computer and office skills
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
