Radiologic Technologist - Under general supervision of a Radiologist and/or Administrator, conduct X-ray examinations and ultrasound procedures on patients, as ordered. In doing so, prepares patient for diagnostic x-ray procedure, provides instructions assist patients in positioning body parts.
Patient Flow Assistant - Assists technologist by transporting patients to ultrasound and general x-ray dressing rooms and scanning rooms; providing information by communicating with various departments.
Primary Principal Accountabilities
1. Oversees the overall function of Diagnostic X-ray division of the Imaging Center, including, but not limited to, patient flow, patient satisfaction, completion of necessary forms and paperwork, compliance with all applicable regulations and overall quality of examinations.
2. Prepares schedule of personnel to provide staffing in the diagnostic X-ray Division.
3. Assists Human Resources Manager and/ or Administrator with evaluations and disciplinary actions.
4. Provides a broad range of radiology healthcare services under supervision of licensed physician.
5. Assesses and evaluates the physiologic responsiveness of each patient.
6. Participates in patient management, including the prescriptive powers for imaging procedures.
7. Administers intravenous medications or contrast media, under the supervision of a licensed physician and records documentation in medical records.
8. Performs fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with "standing orders".
9. May conduct routine x-ray examinations on patients. Ensures technical quality of films and exercises judgement in processing assigned work.
10. May Prepare patients for diagnostic x-ray procedures. In doing so, escorts patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provides verbal and written instructions and assists patients in positioning body parts.
11. Assists with agency inspections, as required (OSHA, DHS and other).
12. Actively participates in leadership meetings, to include assisting with agendas and meeting minutes.
13. Ensures quality assurance requirements are met, and provides necessary documentation.
14. Prepares images for interpretation on the PAC's system.
15. Maintains confidentiality of patient record information.
16. Maintains log of imaging procedures.
17. Performs other special duties, as required , or assigned to ensure efficient operation of the department.

Shift: Days
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Wage Range - $67-$78 per hour
Required Skills:
Minimum Years of Experience Required: 1-2 years preferred
Modality Experience Required: General Radiography and Fluoroscopy
Certifications Required: ARRT and CSRT, BLS & ACLS
Minimum Education Required: High school graduate, plus completion of an accredited X-Ray technology program, RPA program
Required Skills
1. Graduate of accredited x-ray technology program, RPA program.
2. Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); current state CRT license/permit.
3. Maintains CME credit, as required.
4. Maintains BLS/ ACLS Certification
5. Familiarization with Radiologists department and department work methods and company policies and procedures.
6. Knowledge of various radiologic methods and techniques. current certification or ability to be certified, in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
7. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to various exams including body mechanics and patient movement.
8. Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology, including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement.
9. Skill in properly positioning patient to provide quality imaging.
10. Skill in trouble-shooting equipment operation and performing simple adjustments.
11. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively interact with physicians, other company staff, patients and families when providing instructions or responding to questions or exchanging patient - related information. Ability to maintain confidentiality or patient record information.
12. Analytical skill necessary in order to conduct routine radiographic test and review results for accuracy and quality, to verify patient information and complete material for medical record and to monitor supply levels.
13. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting or assisting with diagnostic and/or invasive radiologic procedures.
14. Demonstrated ability to follow proper office policies and procedures.
15. Obtains venipuncture certification in order to perform venipuncture procedures.
