Moline, Illinois Quad City Gastroenterology (15052)Quad City Gastroenterology is hiring a fulltime Histology Supervisor to join our growing team!
Job Summary: The Supervisor, Laboratory Services implements the lab mission, goals and objectives by establishing and directing the short and long term vision, values and goals of the department and by managing all aspects of the department's histology section in collaboration with the Manager - Laboratory Services, including staffing, proficiency testing, competency validation, quality control, testing schedules, technical issues and other functions toward the attainment of these goals.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) or more years as a bench-level technologist.
- Grossing experience.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in all areas of histopathology, including accessioning, grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, QC, and IHC.
- Solid knowledge of CLIA and CAP accreditation guidelines.
- ASCP certified as HT, HTL, QIHC, or a combination thereof.
- Meets CLIA requirements for non-pathologist grosser.
- Proficient with histology automation.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching and coaching associates.
