Med-Laser Surgical Center, is seeking a motivated PRN Registered Nurse (RN) PreOP/PostOP/Circulating to join our team.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive eye care to patients with various eye conditions, assisting the ophthalmologist with examinations, procedures, and treatments, while also educating patients on proper eye health management and post-operative care, all within an outpatient clinic setting. The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care during all phases of the perioperative process. Utilizing the nursing process, organizational policies, and the medical plan of care, the RN collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver safe and compassionate care. 

Circulator, duties will include - 

  • Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning
  • Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment
  • Assist in positioning the patient safely before the surgery
  • Verify patient information and surgical site before the procedure begins
  • Document all aspects of the surgical procedure in the patient’s chart
  • Manage the flow of the operating room and anticipate the surgical team’s needs

Starting pay range is $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience,


Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in CA
  • Minimum of one to two years of nursing experience in a surgical or outpatient clinical setting (ophthalmology experience preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, including infection control and patient safety guidelines.
  • Experience or training in patient education and post-operative care.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient-centered care.
