Responsibilities
Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest, located in Montgomery, Texas, provides high-quality, outpatient surgical care in a comfortable and efficient setting. As part of the Memorial Hermann Health System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI), we’re committed to safety, service, and outstanding clinical outcomes across a wide range of specialties.
We’re seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) on a full-time basis to join our growing OR team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative surgical environment and is passionate about supporting excellent patient care in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and staff by passing instruments and anticipating needs
- Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments and supplies
- Support room turnover, equipment cleaning, and surgical readiness
- Perform instrument and supply counts per protocol
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
- Previous OR experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting a plus
- BLS certification required

- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in the OR environment
- Attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical team needs
- Commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes
Required Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on operating room experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery setting, with the ability to adapt to various surgical specialties and team environments
