Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest – Montgomery, TX

Located in the heart of Montgomery, Texas, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest delivers exceptional outpatient surgical care across multiple specialties. As part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI) and the Memorial Hermann Health System, we’re focused on providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a comfortable and patient-centered setting.

We’re currently searching for a committed PACU Registered Nurse to join our growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping patients safely recover from anesthesia and surgery, we’d love to connect with you.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients post-surgery during the recovery phase from anesthesia
  • Assess vital signs, manage pain, and watch for signs of complications
  • Provide attentive, calming support to patients and families
  • Collaborate closely with OR teams, anesthesia providers, and physicians
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical guidelines
  • Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and follow-up needs
  • Maintain patient safety and infection control protocols at all times

Required Skills:
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment abilities
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Proficient with EMR documentation and PACU protocols

Required Experience:
  • Current TX RN license (or compact license) required
  • Must graduate from a Texas Board of Nursing–approved accredited nursing program
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred or willing to obtain)
  • 1+ year of PACU, ICU, or critical care experience preferred
  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery or outpatient setting is a plus
